Overview

BottleLabelMaker.com explains here when label work stays in your browser and when information is sent to us or to a service provider. You do not need an account to use the editor.

Editing in your browser

Ordinary label editing, including images added to the canvas, happens in your browser. The editor uses IndexedDB, a browser database, to keep named projects, label artwork, thumbnails, and up to ten earlier saves on your device. These projects do not sync between devices. Browser cleanup, private browsing, or clearing site data can remove them; download an editable .blm backup to keep a separate copy. Previous single-design saves are copied into the project library without deleting the original browser local-storage record. If you submit a community template, the editor also keeps the last contributor email in local storage on that device.

Editing locally does not send your canvas or uploaded image to our server by itself. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights still receive technical request and performance information when pages load.

Community template submissions

If you choose to submit a community template, we send and store the template name, category, label-size choice, canvas data, preview, contributor email, optional contributor name, and preview colors in our Neon-hosted database. We use that information to review and, if accepted, publish the template. Resend may deliver the approval and download-token email.

Feedback you send us

If you send feedback, we store the message, feedback type, public page path, submission time, and any email or optional project answers you provide in our Neon database. We use them to investigate problems and decide what to improve. Your artwork, label text, and uploaded files are not attached automatically. Your reply email is not added to a marketing list. Feedback is accessible through a private admin inbox.

To limit spam, we store a keyed hash derived from the requesting IP address and the day; the feedback record does not contain the raw IP address. We do not enforce an automatic deletion period for feedback. You may request deletion using the privacy contact below.

Free downloads and historical orders

PNG and print-sheet PDF downloads are generated in your browser and do not require payment. Bottle Label Maker no longer accepts new paid downloads or first-party print orders.

We keep the historical payment and order systems available long enough to verify and support purchases made before that change. For those records, Stripe processed payment, Vercel Blob stored artwork, Neon stored the order record, Prodigi received the artwork and recipient details needed for fulfillment, and Resend may have sent order messages. We did not receive full card numbers.

These providers process information under their own policies. We do not state a fixed deletion period here because the current application does not enforce one consistently across every provider.

Analytics and technical data

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand page use and performance. Like other hosted web services, our hosting and analytics providers may process request data such as IP address, browser or device information, referring page, requested URL, and timing data. We use aggregate reporting to improve the site. We also measure actions such as opening the editor, making a first edit, preparing or downloading a label, download failures, feedback submissions, and views or clicks on supply links. These events use preset choices and counts, not your message, email, artwork, label wording, or filenames. We remove URL query strings and fragments from analytics events and exclude admin and historical order pages. We do not record sessions or keystrokes. Opening a page with ?analytics=off saves a preference in this browser to disable our analytics; ?analytics=onre-enables it. This preference is not a visitor identifier.

External and merchant links

The bottle-size guides, home-printing guide, and editor follow-up after a free download can contain Amazon Associates paid links. We do not load Amazon tracking code on Bottle Label Maker before you choose one of those links. After you follow a paid link, Amazon receives the request and may use cookies or similar technology to attribute qualifying purchases under its own privacy policy. The destination also receives ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the referring page.

Your choices and requests

You can delete a project and its recent versions from the Projects panel, or clear all locally saved editor data through your browser. Neither action deletes backups you have downloaded. To ask about information connected to a community submission or historical order, or to request correction or deletion where applicable, email us with enough detail to locate the record. We may need to retain information required for payment, tax, fraud, dispute, or legal obligations.
